Hints and tips to watch a full-screen TV-quality video

Unlike most other Internet video sources, videos stored in our servers could automatically adapt to TV quality when full screen mode is selected or the video is scaled-up (subject to original source video quality). Ideally ADSL2+, Cable or High-speed Wireless 3G+ (e.g. Telstra-NextG) is needed to watch full screen, TV quality videos.

If your Internet speed is low (e.g. ADSL), you may experience interruptions for full-screen (or scaled-up) video. If so, do not select full-screen mode (or scale-down the video). Use Ctrl and centre-mouse-wheel to change video scaling.

How to improve Full-Screen TV-Quality viewing experience

PC Monitor Cable

It is important to use the right cable to connect the PC to a LCD monitor to exprience high quality full-screen videos. If the monitor and the PC support DVI (Digital Video Interface) and/or HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface), you should use a DVI Cable or DVI/HDMI Cable. Old VGA cables are not capable of presenting a high quality picture on new wide-screen PC monitors.

Connecting PC/Laptop to TV

(When connected to HDTV, right-click on the full screen video and select "stretching is fill..." to obtain a full-screen picture with correct aspect ratio.)

Your Laptop or PC could work as a set-top-box for you to watch full TV screen Internet videos including Youtube, if your PC/Laptop and the TV set have HDMI or DVI interface. Use HDMI/DVI or HDMI/HDMI cable to connect your Laptop/PC to your wide-screen TV set. Select 1080P, 720P, 1280x720 or 1920x1080 resolution on your PC/Laptop depending on the capability of the TV set and the Laptop/PC.

Our videos will present a TV quality picture on your wide-screen TV set once your Laptop/PC is connected to the TV through DVI/HDMI or HDMI/HDMI cable. Laptop/PC could be connected to your ADSL2+, Cable or High-speed-wireless(e.g. 3G+ USB) Router through your WiFi(wireless-home-network) or Ethernet Cable.

If you are purchasing a new laptop or PC ensure that it has DVI or HDMI interface so that you could use it as a set-top-box to watch Internet videos.

Switch off all equipment when connecting/disconnecting HDMI cables.
